When you choose a car park with shuttle service all you have to do is drive to the car park and park your car. You then board a courtesy shuttle bus which will transfer you and your luggage to your terminal building within just a few minutes. Most shuttle services in Australia and New Zealand operate 24 hours a day, though this can vary from provider to provider. Many providers offer additional services, meaning that you can request to have your car repaired, cleaned and serviced whilst you are away, allowing you to return to a perfect condition car. Whilst the shuttle service is included in the price of the parking, any additional services will incur extra costs. After you have landed from your return flight and are ready to be collected, simply call the provider so that they can collect you and bring you back to the car park. You can then drive straight home.
When you opt for valet parking, you can drive straight to your terminal building. Make sure to call the parking provider 30 minutes before you arrive – their telephone number will be provided on your booking confirmation email. Your driver will meet you at the terminal building. You will need to hand your keys over to them so that they can return it to the car park and park it safely until your return. After you have landed and are ready to drive home again on your return journey, simply call the provider again so that a driver can bring your car to you at the terminal building. You can then drive home directly. Valet parking facilities are secure and have professional members of staff who handle your car with care, meaning you will return to find your car in exactly the same condition as you left it.
When you choose parking within walking distance, you can park the car and simply walk to the airport. In contrast to shuttle parking and valet parking, this is only possible at a select number of airports. At the relevant providers that offer parking within walking distance, you can immediately see the walking distance to the terminal. You enter and leave the parking lot by means of license plate recognition.
