Instructions For Using the T2 Long Term Car Park

The T2 Long Term Car Park is one of two official Cairns Airport car park that was designed with domestic travellers in mind. It’s an uncovered car park, protected by barrier entry. To use the car park, you’ll need to first pass the secure barrier by quoting your Flyparks booking number. It’s important that you press the help button to speak to a member of staff, to let them know that you have a booking, instead of taking a ticket.

Once inside the car park, you can select an available bay and park your vehicle. Your booking guarantees you a space inside the car park, but does not reserve an exact spot. You’ll need to choose from the available bays. Once you’ve parked, simply unpack your luggage and walk to the terminal. It couldn’t be easier!

On departure, you’ll need to press the help button again at the barrier to quote your Flyparks booking number. If you exceed your booking times there will be an additional fee imposed on exit, which you will need to pay before departing the facility.

How to Get to the Car Park

Follow the signs to Cairns Airport, to get to Airport Avenue. When on the Airport Avenue road, take the second exit onto Mick Borzi Drive. Then continue straight, over the next roundabout (second exit). Turn left on to the DC3 Street. Stay in the right hand lane, and follow the directions to the T2 Long Term Car Park.

Good to Know!

You will need to have your Flyparks booking confirmation on hand, or at least on your smartphone, when entering and exiting the T2 Long Term Car Park. You must not take a ticket from the machine on entry, but instead quote your booking number. Please do not tap your credit card. If you do this, you will be charged twice for parking

Process

Park your car

Drive to the car park, scan your QR code, or if the car park has license plate technology, it will automatically recognise your vehicle and open the gate for you. Choose a parking space and unload your luggage.

Walk to the terminal

Walk to the terminal, typically in 12 minutes or less.

On your return

Walk back to the car park.

Drive home

Upon exiting, pay any overstay fees, scan your QR code again to exit, or if the car park has license plate technology, the exit gate will automatically lift for you to exit and drive home.

Had issues with the credit card reader on entry. We were informed of issue and was quite easily resolved. Much better than last time we used Cairns airport parking.

A very convenient and cost effective way to park minutes from the airport check-in : especially if you have to travel to the city to fly :I have now used this service on several occasions and have always been happy with the professional service offered .

Booked online okay Went in but couldn’t get gate to go up Put my card to reader It printed out a ticket which I didn’t want as well On the way out explained to operator at check out and he then checked and let me out
