What do customers say about the Terminal 1, 2, & 3 car park?

Based on past customer reviews, there are a few things to be aware of when considering parking at the Terminal 1,2,3 car park:

⚠️Finding a space can take time. Many drivers spend 10–15 minutes circling the car park, especially around holidays.

⚠️Entry gates don’t always lift automatically. Keep a screenshot of your booking handy in case the QR code won’t scan, and you need to use the customer support.

⚠️There have been some reports of break-ins. Do not leave valuables in your car.

⚠️Extra charges can add up if you run past your booked time, which often happens during busy periods.

⚠️The address links sent via email can sometimes direct drivers to the wrong car park. Always check the on-site signs before entering.

⚠️Currently, there is construction going on, leading to fewer available spots and significant congestion. Arrive earlier than needed.

Things to Consider Before Parking Here

✅ Plan to spend extra time (10+minutes) finding a spot, especially if you are parking during a holiday week or peak travel hours. This is recommended even if you pre-booked your spot.

✅ Have a screenshot of your booking if the QR code does not work (this is known to happen at times).

✅ Arrive early (15-20 minutes) to avoid unexpected delays at entry, exit, or while making payments.

✅ Do not leave any valuables in your car due to the possibility of break-ins. Keep your rearview mirrors turned in to avoid dents or scratches.

Booking & Refund Procedure

Bookings

  • Online bookings: Online bookings can be made at any time before arrival. Click on the 'Book Now' button above.
  • Drive-up bookings: Drive-up bookings are available but are not recommended in peak travel season as the car parks tend to fill quickly, and you may be left scouring the car park for an available spot for 30-45 minutes.

Refunds

You can modify or cancel your reservation up to 2 hours before your scheduled arrival time via Melbourne Airport's official website.

If you need to cancel within 2 hours of arrival, contact the customer service team at (+61) 3 9297 1318 for assistance.

Need extra time?

  1. Navigate to the  'Manage my Booking' tab on Melbourne Airport's website.
  2. Insert your booking reference number and update your exit time accordingly.
  3. The system will calculate any additional payment required, and you'll get a new QR code to use when you exit the car park.
  4. If you don't want to deal with the online booking portal and will leave your car parked longer than you originally planned, scan your original QR code at the gate to pay any outstanding fees.
  5. You can pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit card.
