How Does Short Term Parking at Perth Work?

You do not have to book in advance to park at the Short-Term Car Park at Terminal 1. You can find a car space on the day of your departure at Perth Airport. Stays at the Short-Term Car Park at Terminal 1 are initially charged in short five, ten, and fifteen minute blocks, and then by the hour, after the first 60 minutes. After eight hours, travellers are charged the full day rate, and then billed daily from this point onwards. For stays above eight hours, you can book your parking online, however, you may wish to consider long term parking at this point.

If you have not made an online reservation, but driven up on the day, you simply take a ticket at the entrance so that the barrier rises and allows you entry into the parking lot. On your return, you will need to enter your ticket into the machine at the pay station, pay for your stay, and then exit the car park.

If you have made an online booking, there are cameras in the car park that will scan your number plate and match it to your online booking. Your parking ticket will be automatically issued at the barrier. You will need to keep hold of the ticket to exit the car park upon your return. If the cameras do not recognise your license plate number, a ticket won’t be issued. In this case, you can scan the QR code on your booking confirmation email. You cannot reserve a particular spot at the T2 Short-Term Car Park, but you can instead park in any available bay.

What Happens if I Lose My Parking Ticket?

If you have driven up to the car park and taken a ticket on entry, you will need to head to the pay station and press the ‘help’ button. You will then be asked to provide your license plate number so that the staff on-site will be able to reissue the ticket. If you booked online, you will need to follow the same steps, but instead, supply your online booking reference number.
