Car Park l at Auckland Airport is known as economy parking, meaning it will offer some of the lowest on-site parking rates. Aside from the Park & Ride Car Park, Car Park L will be the 2nd cheapest domestic airport car park.
For 45 minutes - 1 hour, you can park here for $10.00. After that, rates will increase to $43.00 for 1 day of parking, $61.00 for 2 days, $108.00 for 5 days, $156.00 for 8 days, and $268.00 for 2 weeks, or 15 days. Whether you want to book your reservation online or in person, you can! To pre-book your spot, do so on the official Auckland Airport website. You can purchase your online reservation with American Express, Diner Club cards, Visa, or Mastercard, up to 6 months in advance, and 24 hours before your arrival time. Please note that only chipped debit or credit cards can be used for entry. Non-chipped Diners Club or American Express cards can not be used, and won't be accepted.
If you want to pay for your booking on the day of your flight, you can do so by driving up to and taking a ticket and the entry barrier. Upon return, you can pay for your ticket at an APM (located outside the International Terminal) or the parking booth (located outside of car park D).
You may cancel your booking no less than 24 hours before your stated arrival time at the car park to be eligible for a refund. You may cancel or amend your booking at the ‘Manage my Booking’ tab on the official airport’s website.
To enter the car park I Auckland Airport, drive up to the car park’s entry barrier and insert or tap the card used to make your booking. Please make sure you use the same card you booked with online at the car park, or the car park’s license plate technology will not recognize your booking.
If you made an online booking and arrived at the car park with the ‘Full’ sign out, please enter the car park as normal, as it does not apply to those who pre-booked their reservation.
To exit the car park, simply drive up to the exit barrier and tap or insert the same credit or debit card used at entry to exit.
To get to Car Park I, follow the directions below if coming from the CBD via car:
Head south on Queen St toward Wellesley St W
Turn left onto Wellesley St E at the 1st cross street
Continue straight on to Wellesley St Bridge
Turn right to merge onto State Hwy 16 & keep left to stay on State Hwy 16
Take exit 8B for State Hwy for State Hwy 20 towards the Airport
Continue onto State Hwy 20 for about 10 kilometres
Take exit 9 on the right for State Hwy 20A towards the Airport
Follow signs for the Airport and merge onto Laurence Stevens Drive
Take a right into the Car Park I
